Customized by commission for a long-time BZPower friend. This is the second Makuta Matoran I've made, and it's my suspicion he won't be the last!

Although it's hard to see in these photographs, yes, he does carry a rusted, pitted texture- that's always been my trademark! To achieve that effect, I put him through an industrial sandblaster (meant for removing rust from metal), and then used 9 different Citadel paints and a stippling technique to achieve the final effect.

I gotta say, this is your masterpiece. :) Do you think, perhaps, you could replicate this with paint? Or at least make it look kinda like rust?

oops, hit enter too soon. And yes, I can- the only thing that makes it "infected" is the subtle use of a dark red and an ichor green. By changing the palette, I can make the same effect look like deep rust, instead.
